October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
More than 40,000 will die this year from breast cancer; about 400 of them will be men
Breast cancer is the leading cause of death in women between 40 and 55
Kemp Dental is having a raffle ($5 per entry) for a Venus White in-office teeth whitening treatment. This 1 ½ hour treatment service is a $500 value and includes customized trays for future touch-ups.
All proceeds from this raffle will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to benefit breast cancer research.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s commitment to breast cancer research has resulted in important progress that has contributed to every major advance in breast cancer over the past 25 years. Komen is the largest non-governmental funder of breast cancer research. They have invested nearly $450 million in more than 1,700 research projects. They currently manage a portfolio of 759 active research projects reflecting a $298,004,655 investment.
What began as a promise to a dying sister, Susan G. Komen has evolved into the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
