Periodontal therapy is required when bacteria in the plaque attack your gum tissue causing it to become inflamed and detach from the tooth. During periodontal therapy, your hygienist will remove plaque and build-up, promoting healthy gums and teeth, and then finish with polishing.

Natural-looking fillings

If decay is found in one or more of your teeth, it is very important the decay is removed and the space is filled to retain the health and structure of the tooth. We offer “tooth-colored” fillings made from a sturdy composite material to do just that. We will match the shade of your natural tooth so there is no obvious difference between your natural tooth and your filling.

What type of toothbrush should I use?

What type of toothbrush should I use?

Both powered and manual toothbrushes clean teeth well. We recommend buying toothbrushes with soft bristles, as firm bristles can damage your teeth and gums. We recommend the Sonicare for powered toothbrushes.

Do I really need to floss?

Do I really need to floss?

Flossing clears food and plaque from between teeth and under the gum line. If you don't, plaque hardens into tartar, which forms wedges and widens the space between teeth and gums, causing pockets. Over time, gums pull away and teeth loosen.

How can I take care of my teeth between dental check-ups?
